Incredible stay! It was an absolute dream. I stayed two nights in the overwater bungalows and it was spacious, confortable and an amazing experience. I got to rent a snorkeling kit for free and go see the corrals, fish and sea turtles that were nearby. The staff was lovely and the environment felt safe. I only had the breakfast buffet as far as meals go but there was a lot of choices and everything I had was good, especially the fresh pastries. From the check in, the boat ride to the îlot, the stay and back, I am beyond happy with my stay.

We stayed in an overwater bungalow - wow what an experience! Beautiful accomodation that's nicely furnished and spacious. The water views and sunsets were stunning and the fact you could step into the water from your own balcony was something we cherished. The staff were lovely and friendly. My only critique is the lack of food options, it'd be great if you could order room service or a la carte rather than having to spend on an expensive buffet every night because it's the only option on the island. Everything else was fantastic.

Noumea, Neu-Kaledonien

Nouméa ist die Hauptstadt und größte Stadt der französischen Sondergemeinschaft Neukaledonien. Sie liegt auf einer Halbinsel im Süden der Hauptinsel Neukaledoniens, Grande Terre, und ist Heimat der Mehrheit der europäischen, polynesischen (Walliser, Futunier, Tahitianer), indonesischen und vietnamesischen Bevölkerung der Insel, sowie vieler Melanesier, Ni-Vanuatu und Kanaken, die in einer der am meisten industrialisierten Städte des Südpazifiks arbeiten. Die Stadt befindet sich an einem geschützten Tiefwasserhafen, der als Hauptport für Neukaledonien dient. Beim Zensus im August 2014 gab es 179.509 Einwohner im Ballungsraum Groß-Nouméa (Französisch: agglomération du Grand Nouméa), von denen 99.926 in der eigentlichen Stadt (Kommune) Nouméa lebten. 66,8% der Bevölkerung Neukaledoniens leben in Groß-Nouméa, das die Kommunen Nouméa, Le Mont-Dore, Dumbéa und Païta umfasst.
