Nice hotel, excellent service. WiFi not great.

Quite a treat of a small hotel in a friendly area. The hotel is situated opposite a park which is used regularly by locals for cricket, football, games and general hanging out. The rooms / beds are comfortable but overall the hotel needs tidying up or redecorating. Service is excellent: staff do all they can to help and ensure our stay was good. WiFi is hit-and-miss.

If your trip only allows for a visit of one or two of India's metropolitan cities, than definitely consider placing Kolkata on your itinerary. Love it or hate it, you definitely won't forget the city on the Hooghly.
