About the destination: Asuncion, Paraguay's capital, sees few visitors, but offers enough interesting sights to make it worth a visit. The old city centre has plenty of monuments, museums, parks and plazas, and there's a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants too.The Pantheon is one of the most famous places to visit in the capital. Located on the Plaza de los Heroes, it houses the remains of several military figures that died in Paraguay’s Chaco War.The most imposing building in Asuncion is the Palacio de Gobierno, which overlooks the banks of the Parana River. The Metropolitan Cathedral, in front of the Plaza Juan de Salazar, has seen better days, but remains one of the nicer places to visit in Asuncion.Asuncion is beautiful and colonial. The people here are extremely friendly, and there is a quiet and tranquil way in the hot and heavy air.

About the destination: Ciudad del Este is a city in the east end of Paraguay, capital of the department of Alto Parana. It is called the Garden City by vegetation in urban areas, although the growth of the city has been decreasing its green areas. It is mainly a shopping destination. While shopping tourism is what most characterizes Ciudad del Este, in the area there are numerous tourist attractions of various kinds: The Itaipu Dam, one of the world's biggest hydroelectric plants. About the destination: Encarnación is the capital city of the Paraguayan department of Itapúa, located at the south-east of the department, on the right-hand (western) shore of the Paraná River, opposite Posadas, Argentina. Encarnación is the third-largest city of Paraguay. Encarnación is connected to the Argentine city of Posadas by the San Roque González de Santa Cruz Bridge. The city is located on Route 1, some 370 km (225 miles) from Asunción, and located on Route 6, some 280 km (175 miles) from Ciudad del Este. The Teniente Amin Ayub Gonzalez Airport (IATA: ENO, ICAO: SGEN), at coordinates 27°13′23″S 55°50′03″W, is 12 kilometres from the city, is the third most important airport of the country.

About the destination: San Bernardino (colloquially known as San Ber) is a town in Paraguay, located on the shores of Ypacarai Lake in the Cordillera Department. It is a popular holiday resort for people from Greater Asunción. In the last decades of the nineteenth century was built the Hotel del Lago, where the National Socialist German Dr. Bernhard Förster spent the last six weeks of his life, before committing suicide on June 3, 1889 by taking an overdose of strychnine. Inspired by a letter from Richard Wagner and his own anti-Semitism, he traveled to Paraguay to create a model German settlement with his wife Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche (sister of the philosopher) and several German families. Their efforts, at the site was called Nueva Germania, were not successful, leading him to go to San Bernardino.
