About the destination: Kathmandu is the history-rich capital and largest town of Nepal. Located in one of the most dramatic natural environments possible, the Himalayan Mountains, Kathmandu has a large concentration of culture, art and tradition. Most of the cultural centers in Nepal are concentrated around the Kathmandu valley, a Valley with thousands of years of history. Walking around Katmandu is like strolling through an open air museum, the temples are majestic and the unique Nepali architecture is fascinating. Durbar Square is an excellent depiction of architecture and culture of Nepal. Located heart of Kathmandu, Durbar Square is filled with palaces and temples, including amazing ancient temples like Taleju Temple, a royal palace and the interesting Kumari Palace. Visit Swayambhunath where the Monkey Temple sits high overlooking Kathmandu. Even more impressive is the huge Boudha Stupa in Boudha, one of the most sacred sites for Tibetan Buddhism. The Hindu Temple at Pashupatnath gives a good idea of the Hinduism in Kathmandu. It is here where you will see the huge fires for the cremations on the banks of the Baghmati River. Go to Thamel for restaurants, bars and shops. Nepal’s most cosmopolitan city has lots to offer, and it is also a perfect base to explore the rest of this magical and fascinating country.

About the destination: Pokhara is a metropolitan city in Nepal. It is the country's second largest city in terms of population after the capital Kathmand since Pokhara and Lekhnath were merged to create Pokhara Metropolitan City in May 2017. It is the provincial capital of Gandaki Pradesh and headquarters of Kaski District. Pokhara is located 200 kilometres west of the capital Kathmandu. Due to its proximity to the Annapurna mountain range, the city is a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit through the Annapurna Conservation Area region of the Annapurna ranges in the Himalayas. In recent decades, Pokhara has become a major tourist destination: It is considered the tourism capital of Nepal in South Asia mainly for adventure tourism and the base for the famous Annapurna Circuit trek.

Chitwan District is one of 77 districts of Nepal, and is located in the southwestern part of Province No. 3 with Bharatpur, the fourth largest city of Nepal, as its district headquarters. Bharatpur is a commercial and service centre of central south Nepal and major destination for higher education, health care and transportation in the region. Nepal's first national park, the Chitwan National Park together with the adjacent Parsa National Park support a species diversity much higher than any other on the Indian subcontinent. The protected areas are guarded by a battalion of the Nepal Army and patrolled by anti-poaching units. Narayangarh is the main shopping area of Bharatpur city, and the main transit point for all the vehicles traveling via the east-west Mahendra Highway, also for the people traveling from Kathmandu, Gorkha, and Pokhara through Mugling. Recently, Narayangarh has become a retail and commercial capital of Chitwan District and Bharatpur Municipality. It is also the center for hospitality industry which includes hotels, lodges, restaurants and transportation hub for the district.

About the destination: Lumbinī is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi District of Province No. 5 in Nepal. It is the place where, according to Buddhist tradition, Queen Mahamayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in 563 BCE. Gautama, who achieved Enlightenment some time around 528 BCE, became the Buddha and founded Buddhism. Lumbini is one of many magnets for pilgrimage that sprang up in places pivotal to the life of the Buddha. Lumbini has a number of older temples, including the Mayadevi Temple, and various new temples, funded by Buddhist organisations from various countries, have been completed or are still under construction. Many monuments, monasteries and a museum, and the Lumbini International Research Institute are also within the holy site. Also, there is the Puskarini, or Holy Pond, where the Buddha's mother took the ritual dip prior to his birth and where he had his first bath. At other sites near Lumbini, earlier Buddhas were, according to tradition, born, then achieved ultimate Enlightenment and finally relinquished their earthly forms. Lumbini was made a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997.
