Trapani is a city and comune on the west coast of Sicily in Italy. It is the capital of the Province of Trapani. The city is still an important fishing port and the main gateway to the nearby Egadi Islands. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Lido San Giuliano beaches. Trapani has two main beach areas. Marausa Lido and Lido San Giuliano. • Museo di Preistoria e del Mare. The museum is sited inside the seventeenth-century Tower of Ligny. The museum has two sections.
