A short walk inland meanwhile will take you to the city's historic heart, where pretty brasseries and buzzing bars encircle the ancient Bourg-de-Four. For more adventurous souls, the Alps and the Jura are on hand for day hikes with gorgeous views. And when you're ready for a breather and a sundowner, where better than the historic Bains des Pâquis – beach by summer, sauna by winter? Geneva's main station is a 12-minute walk from the hotel, from where the airport's a seven-minute hop by train.

Simple, Refined, and Comfortable

Check in was quick and smooth. They offer a voucher for a free drink from their bar if you opt into having your room freshened every 3rd day instead of every day. I didn't end up using my voucher, but the incentive for being slightly more eco-friendly is a nice touch that stays in line with their overarching theme. The room was very simple, but didn't lack in comfort. It is in a very good location with anything you might need only a short walk away. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Ruby Claire to anyone staying in Geneva.
